I am Feb Anthony G. Rizano, a fourth-year Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics student at West Visayas State University in the Philippines. I am deeply grateful for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be selected as one of the Filipino delegates for the 10th Batch of the SEA Teacher Project (Pre-Service Student Teacher Exchange in Southeast Asia). Over the course of my one-month teaching internship at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Yogyakarta (Muchild), I have gained invaluable insights and experienced profound personal and professional growth.

Through this blog, I invite you to embark on a journey through the rich cultural tapestry of Indonesia, where tradition and modernity intertwine harmoniously. From the warm hospitality of the Indonesian people to the dynamic and holistic teaching and learning practices, my experiences as a student teacher exchange participant have been nothing short of transformative. I look forward to sharing the beauty of Jogja’s batik-filled streets, the soulful call to prayer echoing at dawn, and the spirit of “gotong royong” (communal cooperation) that defines Indonesian life.
