the interconnectedness brought by the profession

After a long and busy week, I took this day to rest and recharge. In the afternoon, Ma’am Alli and I went to SuperIndo to buy groceries. While ordering coffee at Kopi Kenangan, I had an unexpected yet delightful encounter—one of my Grade 8 students recognized me and eagerly asked if I taught at their school. With a smile, I replied, “yes,” and we took a photo together to capture the moment.
This simple interaction made me realize how seamlessly a teacher’s professional and personal lives intertwine.
It is in these genuine moments outside the classroom that I truly appreciate the beauty of the teaching profession—where learning, connection, and impact extend far beyond school walls.
With love and gratitude,
Mister Ton
