On February 6, I observed the classes of both Ibu Ferra and Pak Fajar, gaining valuable insights into how classrooms are managed in another Asian country. While I noticed some familiar elements, I was more captivated by the unique approaches and methodologies. These observations have deepened my appreciation for diverse teaching practices, and I eagerly anticipate my upcoming teaching demonstration.
In the afternoon, I participated in a livestream with Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) Pendidikan Matematika (PMAT).
Alongside one of our buddies, Dianis Ahmad Faizal (Fai), I shared my experiences from my week-long stay in Indonesia while indulging in gudeg—a delicious traditional dish made of stewed young jackfruit in coconut milk and spices.
During the livestream, we discussed the culture shocks I encountered, my expectations for the program, and even had a fun exchange of Filipino words, such as mahal kita (I love you) and kaon ‘ta (let’s eat). The PMAT Student Employments (SEs) were incredibly welcoming and generous, making me feel completely at ease throughout the session.

Beyond the meaningful conversations, I also discovered a new favorite dish—gudeg has officially become my all-time favorite Indonesian food. After the livestream, Fai accompanied me to a stationery store to purchase materials for the game activity I will be conducting tomorrow.
With love and gratitude,
