Today marked my first real teaching interaction with Indonesian students. For the game activity, I introduced “Math-stery Box: Keep or Give,” a group-based competition that encouraged strategic thinking and mathematical problem-solving. Naturally, in any competition, there are winners and those who do not take first place. I noticed the disappointment on the faces of the losing group, which initially made me worried. However, I took the moment to remind them that, in the end, we are all winners—as long as we recognize our individual strengths and support each other’s weaknesses. Learning itself is victory, and as long as we grow from the experience, we never truly lose.
The activity with 7H was not only fun and engaging but also deeply reaffirming.
It reminded me of my core reason for aspiring to become a teacher—the joy of fostering curiosity, resilience, and a love for learning in my students.

With love and gratitude, Mister Ton
