Today marks our first day at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Yogyakarta (Muchild), the school where I will be conducting my out-campus teaching internship. Upon our arrival, we were welcomed by Dr. Rohmatus Naini and Ibu Naning Hidayati, the school's headmistress. Following their flag ceremony, we proceeded to the student hall where we were greeted by the Grade 9 students.

As I walked down the aisle with Indonesian students seated on the floor, I realized that this moment would be permanently etched in my memory, as I have truly surpassed my own expectations, and my dreams are coming true, one by one.
We sat down on the stage, and the welcoming ceremony began. As part of the program, we gave a brief speech. I had never been this excited before. Although public speaking has always been challenging for me due to my communication difficulties, this experience made me feel confident and proud of myself.
After the program, we took some photos to immortalize such a momentous event in my teaching internship journey. The faculty also invited us to eat with them, offering us jasmine tea and a snack box.
I have also met my cooperating teacher, Ibu (Ma’am) Ferra Fijantari. She welcomed me warmly which made me feel at ease in her presence. She mentioned that she teaches Grade 7 and that they are currently covering arithmetic lessons. She also shared her class schedule with me. She then gave me a tour of the campus where we visited the basketball court, classrooms, library, several canteens, homebase, musholla (prayer rooms), and computer laboratory. What impressed me was that each classroom is air-conditioned and equipped with a mounted projector screen which greatly enhances the teaching-learning process.
We remained in the library, waiting for Dr. Felimon, who was scheduled to discuss with Ma’am Naini and our cooperating teachers the requirements we need to fulfill at West Visayas State University. The conversation was both productive and progressive as they were warmly received. This event significantly benefited our teaching internship which allowed us to convey the university's expectations and enabling them to make necessary adjustments for us. Following the meeting, we visited the school's landmark and took a photo.
The day concluded at 12:30 PM when a car from Universitas Ahmad Dahlan arrived to take us back to our dormitories.
With love and gratitude,
